PH Statement on the Publication of Import Data for May 2014 and Average Import Valuation from March to May 2014

In keeping with our commitment towards transparency and accountability, we are posting a list with over 122,000 entries containing almost every importation into the Philippines in May 2014, as well as the weighted average dutiable values for all imports from March to May 2014, broken down by 11-digit HS code and country of origin.

The lists are in the same format as that published in the past several months. The information is in excel format, and can be downloaded from:

The Bureau of Customs is pleased to publish its list of almost every importation into the Philippines in January 2014. In addition to “consumption” entries as published last month for December 2013, this list now includes what we refer to as “warehousing” and “transshipment” entries. These are imports which are allowed to enter the Philippines without paying duties and taxes, provided they are re-exported from the Philippines within a certain period of time.

Four months after rolling out President Aquino’s reform program for the Bureau of Customs, emerging cash collections by the agency for the months of November 2013 to January 2014 registered a 19.26% growth rate over the comparable period in 2012 to 2013. This is a significant improvement from the pre-reform period growth of 4.76% in January 2013 to October 2013.
