Symposium II on the ASEAN Single Window and National Single Windows

The ASW symposium provided updates to ASEAN Member States officials and private sector representatives on the status of the ASW live operation. Further, a brainstorming was also conducted among ASEAN officials and the private sector about expanding the ASW to increase its value proposition, and to make recommendations about which services/value the ASW should provide to the trading community after the transition to live operation in 2016 is complete. Further, Member States were able to exhibit their NSW system and an ASW Demonstration was conducted on how the ASW as it will operate in a live environment by the need of the year, including the business processes. A panel discussion on ASW live operation questions and answers moderated by the designated ASW Chair were able to discuss challenges and issues encountered (attached) during the testing phases.
